My latest acquisition, after having lost a few pirate carts in the mail, no thanks to Danish postal service Dao who lost the package at a sorting facility back in April. This cart too had a small detour - somehow the Dao postalshop managed to swap the package slip on two packages and I ended up with a copy of Zelda Oracle of Ages for the Gameboy, and while it may be a great game - it was not what I was expecting to receive.
Thankfully the seller was able to sort out the mess and my latest Gameboy multicart arrived today - a Super 52 in 1 with a nice, purple, retrostyle label when it comes to pirate carts. Why did I mention purple? well it was my sole reason for picking up this cart, and because I didn't think I had a cart with a purple label already, that simple :)
The menu used here is one of the very simple. Also, the A and B buttons does nothing at all - Up or Down selects a game, Select swaps to the next screen of 10 titles and finally Start loads the selected game. Nothing fancy, it gets the job done though.

Super Mario Land
Boxing
Amazing Spiderman
Mousetrap Hotel
Kid Niki
DuckTales
Dr. Mario
Battle City
Tetris
Flipull
Unfortunately this cartridge is another multicart that doesn't deliver on its promises, sure there are 52 entries in the game list, but all in all it boils down to a mere 10 unique titles. The most interesting and unusual of the lot has to be DuckTales (Japanese version by the way) and Mousetrap Hotel.
Maybe the most hilarious is some of the gametitle repeats, such a Tetris presented as Peacock, or Dick Tracy. Battle City is also presented as Shiten Boy, what's up with that title and what were they smoking when they came up with these title repeats. Dr. Mario is also presented as After Burner.... yeah I totally see the resemblance.
Well, what we have here is yet pirate cart that far from delivers on what it promises.
