New 110 Games Cartridge

Nintendo NES multicarts were not a wide spread as say the Gameboy, mainly because of the NES' use to a lockout system, which could prevent a game from working on various revisions of the NES - a "feature" the Gameboy did not have. Quite a handful of NES multicarts did find its way to gamers, mainly in the US and parts of Europe, the Netherlands comes to mind as a guy called Hessel Meun sent me tons and tons, well at least quite a few, pictures of NES carts he had been picking up. Unfortunately we did not share much information about said cartridges, and while a picture can "say" a lot, combining it with a writeup probably makes it a bit more interesting - and that's the aim here.

This 110 in 1 I believe I picked up from "someone" in the US way back - it was released by Supervision, a pirate juggernaut back in the day, a company I bet Nintendo tried to take down, but they anyway managed to produce quite a few cartridges for the black market.

While the label with just titles shown is pretty generic, I really like the look of this one - so classic multicart like.

Menu & Navigation

The menu used here though is the most generic NES multicart menu to be seen, use Up or Down to select a game, Select can be used to switch to the next page of 20 some games and finally Start loads the selected game.

Final thoughts

A pretty well packed NES multicart featuring a lot of, 93 games to be exact, early Famicom/NES games, but none the less a quite impressive collection - even the legendary Tengen Tetris sneaked on here.
