It is a generic PSOne like clone in a soccer design, on the lid is embossed "FIFA 2002 SOCCER".
(I wonder where they got the license from? ^_^). The joypads are also generic PS-2 look-alike pads
(black, therefore PS-2 look-alike). There is also a lightgun enclosed which looks like a standard pistol.
This gun fires very well for a non-Nintendo zapper. I couldn't try it further away than 1.5 meters
because the cables are so short and my room is too small but I turned down brightness and contrast of
my old 1987 TV and it still worked well although the room was very lighted by the daylight.
Also included is a, as they write, "exclusive AC adaptor DC 9V 500 mA", a RF cable and a RF switch which
I didn't try because I use a AV cable and the SCART connector at the TV set as this gives a clearer
picture.
A nice anecdote I have to tell. While I bought this unit at a "street market"
(some Vietnamese people sometimes put up some market stands here and sell some things) some kids were
standing around and watching me. They silently said "Ond the next one who was fooled in thinking it
was a cheap Playstation". I laughed a bit and told them I knew what it was because I am a console
collector.
The console claims to have 9,999,999 games built-in, but only 6 distinct games actually are. It also has
a 60-pin cartridge slot. The unit is PAL.
The games built in are:
F1-Race
Battle City (named "Tank A 1990" in the menu)
Track And Field (Menu name: Olympic 2002)
Soccer (Don't know which one, displays SOCCER in blinking letters and says "Copyright 1998 Nikita", I
think it's a very old Nintendo Soccer game) (Menu name: Fifa Soccer)
Duck Hunt
Jewelry (Columns Clone, named "Jewel Diamond" in the menu)
When switching on the game, it displays a title screen which reads "9999999 in 1" and in the lower half
there is something which looks like Battle City. A very annoying Waltz music is played in the background.
After pressing Start, the first 16 menu entries are displayed. It shows very many games at a first
glance, but when looking at it more closely, these are all hacked "Track And Field" games which start
with the chosen game. Between these there is a hack of the other games every now and then.
The box says "PLAY + Power I" "8 BIT SUPER ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM", at the top "Super 8 BIT Mega Play" and
"Recommended for Ages 6 and up. In the upper right corner the triangle reads "NEW VIDEOGAME POWER", the
lower right reads "THE NEW SYSTEM" and the top left corner (the colored bars) read: "Dazzling 3-D
graphics", "Spectacular color", "Digital stereo sound" and "High-tech controller".
On the back of the box are screenshots of the NES conversion of Mortal Kombat and a picture of the
lightgun and some adapters. The top left text reads "Super 8-Bit Entertainment system will astound you
with the most colors, the biggest characters, the smoothest, most detailed animation imagineable.
Cascading sounds echo crisply in super stereo. Crystal clear 3-D graphics, expand and spin with amazing
speed. Multiple backgrounds allow complex scrolling, shadowing, and depth like you've never seen in a
video game!"
The right of the box back reads:
"most advanced entertainment system....."
"MORE GAMES gives you hundreds of 8-bit hits! From realistic sports play to high-action adventures...
From classic arcade hits to major movie titles... And much, much more!"
"MORE OPTIONS gives you more ways to play with lots of controller options and the most sophisticated
sharpshooter ever designed. And lets you team your 8-bits system with HIGH technology to tap into the
cutting edge of video games."
"MORE EXCITEMENT It's been building ever since we first introduced 8-bit. And it's better than ever!
Ultra-challenging gameplay. Incredible arcade-quality and digitized color graphics. Spectacular digital
sound with real voices. Plusstereo music with a built-in synthesizer."
"LIGHT GUN CONVERTER"
